If you’re feeling the itch to play some history today, head along to Google’s search page and play Pacman, which celebrates its 30th birthday today.
Google’s daily doodle today is a playable version of the iconic game.
Here’s how you play it.
* Head over to Google’s search website.
* Hover your mouse over the Pacman doodle until you see the PAC-MAN’s 30th Birthday hint box.
* Double-click on the doodle and the game will come live.
To move Pac-man, use your keyboard arrow keys. The idea of the game is to eat up all the food without getting caught – at least that’s the theory!
To turn the sound off, click on the speaker symbol on the bottom-left of the game screen (important if you’re supposed to be working!)
Your score is displayed vertically down the left-hand side of the game screen.
Go to it!
Pac-man was developed by console games manufacturer Namco and released on May 22, 1980 to eventually become one of the best ever known video games.
