Taiwanese PC component manufacturer Gigabyte has claimed top spot on the 3DMark Vantage leaderboard, combining four of its new GV-N480D5-15I-B graphics cards to record a score of P63925.
The score was achieve on the performance preset of the benchmark, but it also grabbed top spots on the high and extreme preset options as well.
The card is based on Nvidia”s recently-released GeForce GTX 480 graphics chip. Gigabyte also announced that it will be releasing a GTX 480 SOC (Super OverClock) version shortly. There’ll also be an SOC edition of the GTX 470.
The stock card has a core clock speed of 700MHz with 1536MB of memory running at 3596MHz and includes two DVI ports and a mini HDMI port on the rear retaining plate.
The GTX 400 series is Nvidia’s long-awaited answer to the Radeon HD 5000-series from AMD/ATI and features DirectX11 graphics support.
