Hard drive maker Western Digital has launched a new external drive certified for use with TiVo Series3 and TiVo HD digital video recorders.
The new 1TB My Book AV expansion drive features USB and eSATA data connections and is capable of working with 2010-era Sony HD handycam digital video cameras for data transfer using the Direct Copy feature.
The strorage device features a Western Digital AV-grade hard drive that has been optimised for 24/7 use. The drive also features WD’s GreenPower technology for reduced power consumption and lower usage temperatures.
The My Book AV DVR Expander as its known is capable of storing up to 120 hours of high-definition (HD) video.
It is available now through select retailers or direct from the shopwd.com website, sells for $US149.99 and comes with a two-year limited warranty.
