New ASUS motherboard delivers front-panel USB3.0 ports

Taiwanese PC component manufacturer ASUS has released its first motherboard with front-panel USB3.0 ports. The P7P55/USB3 features USB3.0 support on the rear panel plate and on the front-panel thanks to an extra NEC USB3.0 chip with access for two front-panel headers. LiteOn releases new 12X-speed Blu-ray burner

Taiwanese optical drive specialist Lite-On has released its second-generation 12X-speed Blu-ray drive. Called the iHBS212, the new drive will burn single-layer BD-R (write once) discs at 12X-speed, and double-layer BD-R media at 8X-speed. DVD write speeds include 16X-speed for DVD+R/DVD-R, double-layer DVD media at 8X and rewritable DVDs at 8X (+R) and 6X (-R) respectively. [...]
