Perth-based wireless ISP VividWireless has issued the first major challenge in 4G wireless internet by launching an unlimited download plan for $75 per month.

The deal requires only one vividwireless device to be connected but there are no usage limits, no peak or off-peak times, no setup fees or installation costs.

Its also kicking off a 2GB data plan for $19 per month.

VividWireless is an off-shoot of Seven Network and earlier in the year announced plans to build 4G wireless networks in major inner-city urban areas near university communities.

The Sydney network will cover University of Sydney, University of NSW and UTS while Melbourne’s network will include RMIT and Melbourne University. Canberra will coverage for ANU, Brisbane the University of Queensland while Adelaide’s Unversity will also be covered.

The company is running an expressions of interest website for Sydney nad Melbourne with an iPad up for grabs.

Its Sydney network is available as far west as Five Dock, Stanmore and Macsot.
