It’s one of the smallest USB flash drives you’ll find that actually comes with a proper metal USB plug. It’s also probably why French storage specialists LaCie decided to call this tiny USB flash storage drive the MosKeyTo (you say it as in “mosquito”).
Basically, it’s designed to simply just plug into your notebook or PC’s USB port – and just stay there, offering up to 16GB of storage.
The 4GB version will sell for $24.99 and the 8GB model for AUD$44.99, which is about double the going rate for USB flash drives of these capacities in Australia but they also come with 4GB of secure online storage through Wuala, guaranteed for two years.
They are USB2.0 HighSpeed so you’ll get up to 480Mbps data transfer (that’s just for the interface, Lacie doesn’t give speed details on the drive itself…) They’ll also work with a minimum of Windows XP and Mac OS X 10.5. No word on Linux support.
All three models are available now from LaCie stockists.
