The previous-generation Firefox web browser may have been showing its age but its popularity is undeniable as the final release of Firefox 4 has just passed 10million downloads in little more than two days.
Firefox developer Mozilla Foundation is keeping a less-than-subtle live download count, which ticked over 10million less than a couple of hours ago.
The new version of Firefox supports a range of new features including HTML5, a new clean interface and substantially greater speed.

I have been using the official release of Firefox 4.0 for a couple of days now and it is excellent. Program launch time is 2 seconds for me while Firefox 3.6.12 was on the order of half a minute. Overall page load seems faster. Given that Firefox is the single most used piece of software on my computer, it is good to have this excellent browser.

I’ve been using FF4 off and on ever since beta and they’ve done a great job with it. In every way it’s a lot better than the previous version. I definitely recommend FF4 & Chrome as the two browsers everyone should be using.
