Anti-virus company BitDefender has added two new features to its Mobile Security for Android beta app.

The first is remote flash card wiping. It means that in event of your Android device being stolen, users will be able to fire up the app to wipe all contents on the device’s flash storage card, protecting your privacy and personal documents for unwanted eyes.

The other feature is live-tracking, allowing users to locate their Android device wherever it is, similar to apps available for Apple’s iPhone. The latest version continues BitDefender’s “on-demand” scanner that grabs its virus definitions from cloud storage, making the app small to store, although using bandwidth to update. It also automatically scans any new SD cards on installation.
